The group has started household Dairy
units for income generation. We have been working with
this group for the past 4 years. The group has very good
exposure in managing a Dairy unit as an enterprise. They
have decided to buy 10 cows at an approximate cost of
Rs. 10,000/ each and other expenses like cost of shed,
Insurance, Feed etc being Rs.5000 for each cow. They will
bring Rs. 75,000/- as their contribution. MSSRF has given
‘interest-free’ loan of Rs.75,000/-. |

The group has attended several training
programmes at our Bio-centre on Dairy Management. The
group has developed a simple business proposal on their
own and has shown the flow of funds and income that they
will be able to generate. The group has marketing arrangement
with milk Society of Pondicherry (PONLIT). The milk will
be collected from the Collection centre at Pilliyar Kuppam
village and fornightly payment are made to the group.
The Group is able to repay the loan installment regularly.
