Neithal Farmers group of Neithavasal village in Nagapattinam district,
Tamilnadu have proposed to start dairy activity. We have been working with this
group for the past 2 years after the Tsunami. The group has very good experience
in managing the dairy activity as an enterprise, as some of the members own one
or more cows. They have decided to buy 16 cows approximate cost of Rs. 15,000/.
Their contribution is Rs.1, 08,000 / - and MSSRF is extending 'interest-free'
loan of Rs.2, 40,000 /-.(From your Bank Rs.55,000)
The group has developed a simple business proposal on their own to show the
flow of funds and income that they will able to generate through this dairy
enterprise. The groups have marketing arrangement with the milk Society - Kaveri
Co-op of Milk Producer Society Ltd, Nagapattinam District.
The enterprises proposed by the Farmer Group will provide the members with an
opportunity for earning a sizable income to support their families and thereby
will help them in improving their economic status by providing their children
with better nutritious food, better education and better housing. |
