An integrated Pest Management services
to save crops from various target pests such as cotton
boll worm in cotton and pulses, early stem borer in sugarcane,
and stem borer in rice. The members of the group started
a Trichogramma (biopesticide) production unit as a cottage
industry. They have been trained in all the aspects of
Trichogramma production from another Self-Help Group which
produces and markets Trichogramma successfully. The group
has established market links with the EID Parry sugar
factory, private companies and local farmers.This enterprise
had provided an income earning opportunity for the group
members; this income will help them in improving their
economic status and in providing their children with better
nutritious food, education and housing. |

loan and purchased 25 goats.They have undergone formal
exposure training on goat rearing from a recognized institute.
There is very good demand for goats for meat production
as well as for rearing. There is a delay in repayment
of the group due to group conflict among the SHG members.
MSSRF is addressing this issue. |
