With an interest-free loan of Rs.51,
000 and their contribution of an equal amount, the group
has started a Readymade Garments unit. Out of 14 members
6 members know tailoring and remaining have offered their
services in working in the unit in various suitable capacity.
One of the members is a 'Tailoring master' and has considerable
experience in stitching readymade garments. The SHG has
done an initial survey on the requirement of Readymade
Garments of the local population. They are very confident
of their business and income earning opportunity. The
unit suffered a heavy asset loss during Tsunami as the
shop was very close to seashore. The group is slowly recovering
from the loss incurred and are building their business
assets slowly. MSSRFis facilitatingthe process by helping
the group. |
