The The members of this group have
chosen Goat Rearing as it is giving assured income. Goat
Rearing is a renumerative business in this part of Kerela.
Rearing Goat is like having cash on Hand. There is continuous
demand for Goats and it fetches good price. The group
members will multiply the Goats and keeping the younger
ones will sell the older goats and this process gives
a regular source of income for them.
1. Technology – The group has undergone training on Goat
Rearing at our Agrobiodiversity Centre. Because of the
success of the other groups in Rearing Goats the above
mentioned groups who have gained confidence to start this
business, to replicate it.
2. Market – There is sufficient demand for Goat through
out the year and Goats fetches good price in all seasons.
There is a slight “lull” in the market during Ramzan Fasting
days
3. Credit – The groups bringing 25% has their in investment
only the remaining amount is being given as loan.
4. Management – Continuous facilitation will be provided
by MSSRF.
