Gender and Social Inclusion for Sustainable Livelihoods
Gender and Social Inclusion for Sustainable Livelihoods, a joint publication of MSSRF and FAO-RAP at Bangkok, is just out in print. A collection of six case studies in India on the theme, the set is the outcome of a brainstorming among six agencies in Southern India engaged in innovative and pioneering work on the theme. The brainstorming was held on 26-28 July 2007 in the context of a larger National Consultation on Technology Development and Delivery Models for Sustainable Livelihoods to highlight the theme of inclusion. The case studies deal with exclusion based on caste, gender and ethnic group. Examples from the field illustrate the discussions on this critical contemporary issue.
