Activity
Kolli Hills situated in a very remote area, produces minor millets and rice. Minor millets are a source of micronutrients and its production declined for various reasons, one being the time taken for de-husking. Enhanced use is the only way of conserving these species, and it can be done only by reducing the drudgery involved in de-husking them. So, the group started a mill for de-husking minor millets by availing an interest-free loan.
