The group is venturing into Paddy/rice business for income generation. In harvest season, paddy can be purchased at affordable price by the SHG members. The SHG group members will boil it and convert it into Boiled price and sell it with a margin of 16%. The group has got a clearly worked income generating equations. The Group has assured market and income from this venture.
1. Technology – Traditional
rice boiling methods and groups has
sufficient knowledge of this method.
2. Market – Assured market,
as rice is a staple commodity and
the group members will be able to
earn the minimum support income.
3. Management – Continuous facilitation
is being provided by MSSRF
This enterprise had provided an income earning opportunity for the group members; this income helped them in improving their economic status and in providing their children with better nutritious food, education and housing. The group is able to repay the loan installment regularly.
