Sembarathi Self-Help Group consisting of 20 women members had started Public call office as a income generating activity for their livelihood by availing a loan of Rs. 30000 from community banking. The village is very big in its size and scattered. Most of the men members of village are working outside the village. There is no communication Centre nearby village and the people have to walk for a long distance for making calls. Hence, this group felt the need of having telecommunication Centre at the village. This activity had helped the community in providing telecommunication services to the villagers and at the same time generating additional income for the poor women. The group is able to repay the loan installment regularly.
