This Self Help Group is one of six groups who are part of the Lift Irrigation project for canalizing water from the nearby river called PARAVANNAR. All the six Self Help Groups are now able to irrigate 40 acres of land through this scheme. After twenty years the people of this village are able to go in for second and third season cultivation. The entire project cost is $27,300. The Nationalised bank has given a loan of $23150. The remaining was contributed by the SHGs by availing an interest free loan from micro credit banks, $200 from this bank. Now they are able to repay the loan installment after every harvest season

The group has purchased cows to start a household level Dairy. The cows on an average give 30 liters of milk per day. The milk is sold to the local Milk Co-operative Society. The group is able to generate an income of $210 per month. This enterprise has changed their living standard in terms of health, education for children and incoming earning opportunity.
