M S Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF) has six servers namely, Mail, Proxy, Domain, DNS, Firewall and ISA Server [Internet provide for Village Resource Centres (VRCs)]. The candidate should monitor both MSSRF’s intranet and internet network (including maintaining all the above servers, controlling the SPAM mails, email back-up facility, maintaining the satellite based connectivity between MSSRF, Chennai and different Village Resource Centres which have been located in different parts of the country, Village Resource Centre and Village Knowledge Network – 802.11.b/g, mobile, VSAT, etc.).
