Enhancing Livelihoods of farmers through small scale floriculture models in Villupuram  district, Tamil Nadu Adopting Social Capital Credits System (SoCCS)

Project Objectives:

  • To create awareness among the selected village communities on the concept of SoCCS  and
  • To improve soil health  and farm income by adapting Sustainable  farming practices

Expected outcomes:

  • Demonstrating the concept of Social Capital Credit among farmers to adopt environmentally viable and socially accepted agriculture practices through increased social capital
  • Farmer’s income raises to 30 – 40 percent which is a significant contribution to the overall family income
