M S Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF) was established in the year 1988. MSSRF was envisioned and founded by Professor M S Swaminathan, agriculture scientist with proceeds from the First World Food Prize that he received in 1987. The Foundation aims to accelerate the use of modern science for sustainable agricultural and rural development. MSSRF focuses specifically on tribal and rural communities with a pro-poor, pro-women and pro-nature approach. The Foundation applies appropriate science and technology options to address practical problems faced by rural populations in agriculture, food and nutrition.
The photo exhibition would display photos showcasing MSSRF’s journey over the past 30 years.
The Foundation has achieved a lot in the field of agricultural research for sustainable human development and has been appreciated greatly by both national and international personalities and organisations.
The photographs will depict the important milestones of the Foundation, from laying the stone to building the MSSRF office, to what it has become today!
