This project aims to improve water use efficiency by applying micro-irrigation techniques and increasing the availability of groundwater for irrigation by rejuvenating defunct wells using appropriate groundwater recharge technologies. The project location is the Mailam Region of Villupuram district in Tamil Nadu. The intervention was funded by V A TECH WABAG, Chennai. The project aims to strengthen the on-farm livelihoods of farmers by promoting crop diversification, increased farm income, and increased household food security.
