Website to facilitate farmer-to-farmer learning

March 2018: MSSRF has facilitated the Reddiarchatram Seed Growers Association (RSGA) in introducing a new website for Tamil Nadu farmers in collaboration with Commonwealth of Learning (COL), which was launched on March 20, 2018.

This website is designed in a farmer-friendly manner by adopting simple navigation style and page layout and written in –user friendly vernacular language supported with high quality images. The website can be accessed at http://l3fpedia.com.

The website provides useful information on new technological advancement in crop production and livestock farming that are practiced by the farmers, and is regularly updated. This initiative is emerging as a potential tool to facilitate farmer-to-farmer learning. The interactive nature of the website enables farmers to share their own knowledge/information and also to access, download and use the content shared by others.  Farmers can also – provide feedback and engage in online discussion via this site. The other partners in this initiative are: Vidiyal, Rasginapuram, Theni district and Arul Anander College, Karumathur, Madurai District.
