M S Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF) and United Nations Environment Programme(UNEP) organised workshop on ‘Scaling-up and Adoption of Nature-based Solutions in Advancing the Sustainable Blue Economy’ on Friday March 15, 2024, at MSSRF, 3rd Cross Street, Taramani Institutional Area, Chennai – 113.

Ms Supriya Sahu, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary,Environment Climate Change & Forests, Govt of Tamil Nadu, inaugurated the workshop.

Special remarks delivered by Ms Makiko Yashiro, UNEP Programme Officer, Dr Alka Bhargava, IFS, Senior Policy Advisor, UNEP, Dr E Vivekanandan, Advisor/Intl Consultant, BoBP, Dr Soumya Swaminathan, Chairperson – MSSRF, gave the Presidential Address.

The handbook on ‘Nature-Based Solution (NbS) for Sustainable Blue Economy-Case studies from MSSRF’ was released.
