Farmers in Nuagaon block receive training on pulse production technologies
As part of building capacity of agriculture extension workers and progressive farmers, MSSRF-BPTAbC hosted a block-level training programme on production technologies for pulses on August 18, under Comprehensive Rice Fallow Management Programme in Nuagaon Block, Nayagarh District in Odisha. The aim of the training was to build the capacity of block-level field functionaries, para-extension workers of agriculture department, and progressive farmers through awareness on importance of pulses for human health as well as production technology of pulses in rice fallows. A total of 70 participants including Village Agriculture Workers (VAW), Krushak Sathi, and progressive farmers participated in the awareness programme. The programme was facilitated by Akshaya Kumar Panda, Development Coordinator, MSSRF, Jeypore, and Smt. Kumudini Dei, Block Agriculture Officer, Nuagaon Block.
