Three-day training program on fish processing and value-addition
MSSRF’s Fish for All Centre at Poompuhar and the National Institute of Technology Puducherry, Karaikal, have organised a joint three-day training programme on fish processing and value-addition with the financial support of Department of Science and Technology, Science for Equity, Empowerment and Development (SEED). The training programme was inaugurated on March 20 by the Prof. Dr. K Sankaranarayanasamy, Director, NIT, Puducherry, in the presence of Dr. S Sundaravarathan, Registrar, NIT Puducherry, Dr. Harigovindan V P, Associate Professor & HoD, Department of ECE, NIT, Puducherry and Dr. S Velvizhi, Head, Fish For All Research and Training Centre, MSSRF. A total of 55 participants are undergoing the training on post-harvest management until March 22, 2023.
M S Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF) established in 1988 is a not-for-profit trust. MSSRF was envisioned and founded by Professor M S Swaminathan, agriculture scientist with proceeds from the First World Food Prize that he received in 1987.
