Video conference on first aid methods for jellyfish poisoning
The MSSRF Fish for All Centre, Poompuhar is conducting an interactive video conference programme for fishermen on jellyfish found on Tamil Nadu coast and first aid methods on handling poisoning from jellyfish. Dr Raju Saravanan, Scientist at Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI), Mandapam, will be the resource person and address participants on the subject. The programme will happen online on August 22, 2022, between 3 – 5 pm. The video link will be provided to registered fishermen participants. The registration form has been provided in Tamil, as well as audio messages have been sent out to audio advisory-receiving fisher groups, plus dissemination has been organised via WhatsApp and Facebook to maximise reach.
