E-Shakthi – DIGITISATION OF DATA in the year 2016 in line with DIGITAL INDIA MISSION
To facilitate the smooth function and ease the access to financial resources web portal, E SHAKTHI was created by NABARD that may be used as an app or as a portal. The specific objectives are digitizing bookkeeping, bringing synergy between group members and banks, providing livelihood training, and offering handholding. The approach is similar to L3F where how social, human and financial capitals are harnessed to improve the livelihoods of the women farmers. The initiative is piloted in Puducherry field sites among the women group members with the partnership of service banks.
M S Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF) established in 1988 is a not-for-profit trust. MSSRF was envisioned and founded by Professor M S Swaminathan, agriculture scientist with proceeds from the First World Food Prize that he received in 1987.
