M S Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF) under the Bay of Bengal grant supported by Internews is hosting a 3-day media workshop from September 16 to 18 at Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. The opportunity is open to print, TV, online and radio journalists from Telugu, Urdu and English language press. Travel, food and accommodation will be sponsored by the Foundation.
The workshop will be delivered in English and Telugu, and interactive methodology will be used to engage the journalists. Road-trips are part of the package and you will have opportunity to interact with coastal stakeholders and discover stories waiting to be told.
District and state-level journalists reporting on environment and livelihood issues, especially climate change are encouraged to apply.
