CRSARD AGM suggests more nutrition focus: M S Swaminathan
September 26, 2017: The 30th AGM of Centre for Research on Sustainable Agricultural and Rural Development (CRSARD) was held today under my chairmanship. It was attended by leading agriculture scientist including the Vice Chancellor of TNAU. An important point made was that there should be greater emphasis on nutrition and members welcomed the transition from agriculture revolution to nutrition revolution which MSSRF is trying to bring about.
M S Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF) established in 1988 is a not-for-profit trust. MSSRF was envisioned and founded by Professor M S Swaminathan, agriculture scientist with proceeds from the First World Food Prize that he received in 1987.
